By Forgotten Rights
They call us a burden. They say there’s “no money” for disability benefits, no money for care, no money for the basics we need to live.
But somehow, there’s always money for them.
Billions for the Powerful, Pennies for Us
While disabled people are being sanctioned and starved, the government:
- Wasted £37 BILLION on a failed COVID track-and-trace system that never worked.
- Handed out £8.7 BILLION in pandemic contracts to their mates—often without proper checks.
- Paid MPs a 25% expenses rise in one year, while telling us “everyone needs to tighten their belts.”
And now they want to scrap benefits, cut care services, and raise the pension age.
They Want You Angry at the Wrong People
They paint us as scroungers to distract from the real thieves—politicians, billionaires, and corporations dodging £35 BILLION in tax every year.
While they slash £50 from a disabled person’s allowance, companies like Amazon and BP avoid paying their fair share.
This is not about “saving money.” It’s about priorities. And we’re at the bottom of their list.
What This Means
If you’re disabled, chronically ill, or just poor, the system is designed to keep you desperate. Why? Because desperation keeps you silent.
But here’s the thing—they only win if we shut up.
What You Can Do
✅ Share this post. Let’s smash the myth that there’s “no money.”
✅ Write to your MP: demand an end to cuts targeting the vulnerable.
✅ Support Forgotten Rights via [Ko-fi], [Patreon], or with a donation—because independent voices like ours don’t get billionaire backers.
The money is there. It’s just not for us.
