WHY THIS BLOG EXISTS

Britain is failing its sick and disabled citizens. Every headline, every DWP statistic, every funeral proves it. Yet somehow, the outrage never lasts. The cruelty has been normalised.

Forgotten Rights exists because I am sick of being polite about injustice. I’m sick of watching disabled people treated as liars, burdens, and cheats while politicians and media spin lies about us.

The assessors put in charge of your claim know absolutely nothing about any specific condition for example in my case at my last assessment for PIP I was told my primary progressive MS would go away in a couple of weeks when MS is a lifelong condition that never goes away it only gets worse.

This blog is angry on purpose. Anger is the only sane response when people are dying after assessments, when benefits are stripped away, when basic human dignity is treated as optional.

I write because I don’t want silence to win.
I write because disabled voices should be impossible to ignore.
I write because if they can grind us down quietly, they will.

If you’re here, it’s because you refuse to look away. Welcome.
